The playback control allows you to change the playback speed of the simulation within reason. It also has properties for configuring the time bar seen at the bottom of the workspace.
Playback Control Properties
Playback Control
This is a scale factor for the speed of the simulation. If it is at 1 then it tries to run so that 1 second of simulation time is 1 second of real time.
Values greater than 1 try and speed the simulation up. Values between 1 and 0 slow the simulation down. So if this property is 100 then it tries to run
so that 100 seconds of simulation time is 1 second of real time. However, this is not perfect. The system can only usually
get it to run at a speed that is approximately correct. Also, the playback rate is going to depend heavily on the speed of the simulation. If you have simulation
that is running at 100% cpu that takes 1 second of real time to produce 0.1 seconds of simulation time then you are not going to be able to speed this up anymore
using this property. However, you could slow it down by setting this value to 0.01.
Default value: 1
Acceptable range: Any value greater than 0.
If this is true then the simulation always starts paused. If it is false then it is started running.
Default value: False
Acceptable range: True/False
Time Bar Settings
Sets the color used for the actual time in the controller time bar.
Default value: Light Blue
Acceptable range: Any Color
Determines whether the time bar will automatically scale itself when the time nears the end of bar.
Default value: True
Acceptable range: True/False
Sets the color used for the current time in the controller time bar.
Default value: Dark Blue
Acceptable range: Any Color
Sets the height of the division mark factor in the time bar.
Default value: 4
Acceptable range: Any value greater than 0
Sets the number of divisions used for the time bar.
Default value: 10
Acceptable range: Any value greater than 0
Sets the ending time used for the controller time bar.
Default value: 5000 ms
Acceptable range: Any value greater than 0
Sets the major interval used for the time bar.
Default value: 1
